What are Widow’s Benefits?

  • You can receive Social Security Disability Benefits on your Deceased Spouse’s record
  • You must be Disabled, and over the age of 50
  • If you can prove Disability before or seven years following your Spouse’s death, you can receive Benefits
  • You should determine whether you or your Spouse’s earning record will earn you the most money
  • If your deceased Spouse worked longer, and earned more money than you, it would made sense to earn Benefits through their record
